Anna Marie (Ontko) Rivardo

Anna Marie Rivardo, 83,of Jeannette, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday January 31,2018 in Forbes Regional Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 6,1934 in Coral, Pa a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Rebar) Ontko. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Cil Barclay and brothers Edward and Joseph Ontko. A member of Sacred Heart Church, Jeannette she was previously employed at Assumption Hall, the Aluminum Plant in Murrysville and General Tire. Anna Marie's life revolved around her family and she loved to go on big family vacations and bus trips. She enjoyed her grandchildren's activities.  She is survived by her husband Albert Rivardo, of Jeannette; daughters April Parsons and John of Jeannette and Anna Rivardo of Greensburg; son Albert Rivardo and Dawn of Mt. Pleasant; her two grandchildren who were her world, Carsyn and Luke Rivardo; siblings Raymond Ontko and Elsie of Claridge, Betty Baughman and Ted Ontko of Jeannette; her best friend of 44 years Joyce Griffin of Latrobe and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her.The family would like to thank Dr. Katherine Neely, the nurses and staff at Forbes Regional Hospital and AHN Hospice for all the wonderful care that was given during Anna Marie's fight with cancer. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Church, Jeannette with Fr. Paul Lisik as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
