Anton F. Stickle 85 of Jeannette died Saturday July 1, 2017 at home. He was born April 2, 1932 in Fritzhenry a son of the late Joseph and Betty (Dobner) Stickle. Prior to retirement he was an independent contracted truck driver through Teamsters Local 30 and he was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Army. He was a former social member of the Grapeville Volunteer Fire Department, a former member of VFW Post 8240 of Jeannette, American Legion Post 18 of Slickville and Post 344 of Jeannette, Polish Brotherhood of White Eagle of Jeannette and was an avid shuffleboard player and loved listening to polkas in his pickup truck on the weekends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Roger Marsolo, a son in law Hilary Rackoff, a brother Ferdinand Stickle and two sisters Betty Ann Tekamp and Marion Mascara. He is survived by his wife Mary (Hohman) Stickle, his children: Mary Rackoff of West Palm Beach, FL, Shari Marsolo and her husband Roger of Jeannette, Roberta Sistek and her husband Jeff of Greensburg, Toni Sears and her husband Scott of Greensburg, Joe Stickle and his wife Debbie of Jeannette, Bob Stickle and his wife Rachel of N. Huntingdon and Cary Cramer and her husband Gene of Greensburg, 10 grandchildren Shawn, Steven, Mark, Leon, Samantha, Zack, Katie Scotty (Elaina), Antonia and Ainsleigh, three great grandchildren Rebecca, Olivia and Amelia and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 AM in the funeral home with Msgr. V. Paul Fitzmaurice officiating. Interment with military rites will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
