Charles E. Stough 91 of Jeannette died Friday August 5, 2016 in Hempfield Manor. He was born February 19, 1925 in Grapeville a son of the late Charles and Mary (Stephans) Stough. Prior to retirement he was a teacher in the Hempfield School District. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army where he received the Purple Heart. He was a member of American Legion Post 344, VFW Post 33, DAV Allegheny-Kiski #53 and Brush Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Gerald and Robert Stough. He is survived by his wife Margaret (Taylor) Stough, his children Robert Stough and his wife Diane of Derry, David Stough and his wife Julie of Ellwood City, Barbara Sarma and her husband Ted of London, Ontario, Canada and Janice Ruoff of Irwin, nine grandchildren Michelle and Justin Ruoff, Jason, Benjamin, Jonathan and Elizabeth Sarma and Abraham, Vera and Gretchen Stough, two great grandchildren Samantha and Ruben Sarma and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Roger L. Steiner officiating. Interment with military rites will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Brush Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church 177 Brush Creek Rd. Irwin, PA 15642.
