Eugene Joseph Stawicki, 87, of North Huntington died Wednesday February 14,2018 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born January 30,1931 in Jeannette, a son of the late Stanley and Catherine (Zimowski) Stawicki. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Cecilia Januszewski, brother Walter Stawicki and daughter in law Linda Filkosky. Prior to retirement he worked as a glass cutter at Jeannette Sheet Glass. He served in the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force, a former member of American Legion Post #472 and life long member of Sacred Heart Church, Jeannette. Eugene was passionate about cheering on his two favorite sports teams, the Jeannette Jayhawks and Notre Dame Fighting Irish and loved fishing with friends in Canada and traveling to New Mexico and Chincoteague Island, Va. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia A. (Filkosky) Stawicki; sons Christopher Eugene Stawicki and his wife Kimberly Sue, Frank Richard and Rodney Filkosky. Two grandchildren, Frank and Sabrina Filkosky; sister Sylvia Bartolomucci and husband Danny; brother-in-law Richard A. Craig and wife Barb and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday March 10th 2018 at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, Jeannette with Fr. Paul Lisik and Fr. Ken Zaccagnini as co-celebrants.
