Lester E. Bossart, 89, of Jeannette died Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at home.  He was born February 22, 1927, in Arona, a son of the late Eugene and Alice Shrader Bossart.  Prior to retirement he worked  as a service advisor at Sears and Roebuck.  He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII.  He was a member of Assembly of God Church, Jeannette, American Legion and attended Senior Life in Greensburg.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Lois Elliott Bossart, an infant daughter and a sister, Sara "Sally" Redish.  He is survived by a son, Kenneth L. Bossart and his wife Paula of Greensburg, two daughters, Karen Washington and her husband Gerry and Kari Varriano, both of Jeannette, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received Sunday 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc., 201 N. First Street, Jeannette.  A funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor TJ Kroll officiating.  Interment will follow in Middletown United Methodist Church Cemetery.  To send on-line condolences, visit www.mason-gelder.com.
