Today I was googling Bob to see that he was up to and found out that he had died a year ago. Bob and I were at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth together in training. Great guy and brother in Christ. When I was stationed in Spain, I was the project officer for training that he attended. Since he flew in from USS Theodore Roosevelt that was in the Gulf, I made sure he had an ocean view at the hotel. He had earned it. My condolences to the family.

Dearest Family and Friends of Bobby ... Having just caught this, sending my sympathy for the good man we've all lost on this side. And who surely is in the presence of our great God this Thanksgiving day. I give thanks for knowing what a worthy life of service to our nation and Jesus Christ that Bob has lived. Clearly, beyond mine, he's touched so many lives in so many good ways.

Know you're all in my thoughts as you mourn our loss, celebrate a life lived well, and rejoice, knowing that through Christ, Bob lives. May we all reune with him when our days are done. Blessings and prayers to you all.

Although I have the gift for gab... words escape me to tell all of you how much Bob helped and guided me to become a better person and a lay pastor. I asked him one day; who ministers to the minister? Therefore, I tried to do so. We spent many hours in prayer and Bible study ministering to each other.
Here are two verses that I pray will minister to each of you: Isaiah 57.1-2; 1"The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. 2 Those who walk uprightly enter into peace, they find rest as they lie in death".
May Jesus' peace and comfort be with each of you today and in the times ahead!

To Roberta, Rhonda and Ron, and Bill and families: I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. What a life he has led and is now in the presence of God. May God comfort you in this most difficult time. Many wonderful memories spent at your parent's home growing up.
