Ronald R. Lander, 78, of Jeannette died Sunday June 25, 2017 in Forbes Regional Hospital. He was born May 6,1939 in Greensburg, a son of the late George C. and Esther Mae (Kidd) Lander. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Carol (Gillespie) Lander, a son Ron Jr., brothers Carl and Leonard "Red" Lander and a sister Charlotte Espy. Ron worked as a Mechanic for Lander Service, Inc., at Hockensmith Body Shop and Jeannette Sheet Glass. He was a member of the Jeannette Polish Club, American Legion Post #344 and Jeannette Ukranian Club. Ron is survived by his daughter Deb Kowalski (Ed) of Jeannette,grandsons Matthew (Nicole) of Greensburg and Michael (Madison) of New Stanton; Great Grandchildren Maison, Elliot and Teagan. Siblings Norm  Lander (Marlene) of Lincoln Heights, George Lander (Mary) of Mississippi, Janice Auge (Vern) of Dubois, and Jim Lander (Arlene) of Greensburg. Sisters in Law Gail Lander and Marilyn Lander and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-8PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11am in the Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Bossart. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park.
