Russell F. Smith 86 of Greensburg died Thursday February 16, 2017 in RNC of Greater Pittsburgh.  He was born November 24, 1930 in McIntire, PA a son of the late Gilbert and Lenore (Mateer) Smith.  Prior to retirement he was employed by Beckwith Machinery and he was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Army.  He was an avid golfer and Presbyterian by faith.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.  He is survived by his wife of 66 years Phyllis (Harmon) Smith, a son Terry Smith and a special daughter in law Karen of Jeannette, two grand cats Hershey and Oliver, a nephew Jack Harmon of Erie and a special niece Linda Harmon Shankle of Kittanning.  Friends will be received Sunday from 1-5 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev.
