Terry B. Ely, 67, of Westmoreland City, died Thursday, November 24, 2016 at home.  He was born December 23, 1948 in McKeesport, a son of the late John and Rose Markle Ely.  Prior to retirement he worked as an equipment operator at the Veterans Administration and had previously worked as an over the road trucker for Helms.  He was a Marine Corps. veteran having served during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of St. Joseph's Polish Club, VFW, American Legion, and Vietnam Veteran's Association.  Prior to his illness, he enjoyed riding quads and dirt bikes with his sons and their friends at the Slates.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Norman Ely.  He is survived by his wife, Sherri Hampton of Westmoreland City, two sons, Terry Ely, Jr. of Westmoreland City and his fiance Becca Roycroft and her son Cameron, and Trevor Ely and his wife Megan Bossart of Manor and their children Elena and Madison, his faithful companion, Babz and numerous nieces and nephews.  At Terry's request, there will be no visitation.  Special thanks to AHN Healthcare @Home Hospice, Dr. Neely, Nurse Bethany and Lori, Allen, and Chris of Excela Home Care.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the veterans organization of the donor's choice.  To send on-line condolences, visit www.mason-gelder.com.  MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., in charge of arrangements.  SEMPER FI
