William A. Woodward, Jr., 90, of Hempfield Twp., died Thursday, September 1, 2016 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  He was born July 17, 1926 in Middletown, a son of the late William, Sr. and Mary Fox Woodward.  Prior to retirement he worked in the maintenance department at Elliott Co. for over 40 years.  He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII.  He was a member of SNPJ #223 of Greensburg, Loyal Order of Moose #1151 of Greensburg, BPOE #8641 of Jeannette, American Legion Post #344 of Jeannette, and Norwin Elks #2313.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Pakos Woodward, a step-mother, Ruth Woodward, and siblings, Louise Woodward and John Allen Woodward.  He is survived by four children; David Woodward and his wife Michelle of Greensburg, Mary Ann Bartley and her husband James of Richmond, VA, Barbara Pisone and her husband Mark of Export and Kevin Woodward and his wife Sue Ann of Penn Twp., 7 grandchildren; Brett and Alie Woodward, Megan, Philip, and Michael Pisone, and Brandon and Collin Woodward, a brother, James Woodward of GA, three step-brothers, Ted Woodward of Greensburg, Barry Woodward of Phoenix, AZ and Dale Mensch of New Stanton, a step-sister, Betty Davis of New Stanton and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 N.
