Janet Nestico 86 of Greensburg died Friday March 25, 2016 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born May 4, 1929 in Richeyville a daughter of the late Geza and Bertha (Ladina) Racy. She worked for many years at The Nest Restaurant. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Louis Nestico, two sisters Helen Duncan and Margaret Bir and a brother Bill Racy. She is survived by six sons Louis Nestico and his wife Dawn of Irwin, Edward Nestico and his wife Ginger of Forest Hills, Lanny Nestico and his wife Toni of Jeannette, Ronnie Nestico and his wife Judy of Irwin, Ken Nestico and his spouse Jim of Atlanta, GA and Mark Nestico and his wife Rose of Naples, FL, 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. If the measure of a person's place in Heaven is the legacy that they leave behind when they pass, Janet Nestico will sit amongst the angels. As the matriarch of the Nestico family, Janet oversaw the birth of six sons, fifteen grandchildren and numerous friends who loved her. Janet will always hold a special place in the hearts and minds of every life she touched and will be remembered for generations to come. Heaven is a brighter place with her in it, and I'm sure no one up there will complain one bit about her cooking. You will be missed, Janet, and your whole family says that will all the love in their hearts. Services and interment were private. Janets family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Lung Association or a charity of the donors choice.
