Important Scam Alert:
The National Funeral Directors Association has alerted us that scammers are targeting families who have recently lost a loved one. They are using obituary postings to find family information and will then call the family claiming to be a member of our staff, telling families they owe additional monies for services.
The Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association has also notified us of similar instances in our state of callers taking credit card information to pay for an insurance policy covering liability for upcoming funeral services should anything go wrong.
If you receive any suspicious phone calls, or if you aren't sure you are speaking to one of our staff members on the phone, even if our phone number is on the caller ID, please hang up and call us back to check if it is a legitimate phone call.
Its unfortunate that scammers would take advantage during a families time of grief and need and we are committed to making sure the families we are privileged to serve are protected.
