Aretha Wessel, 94, of Jeannette died Saturday, September 30, 2017 at home.  She was born May 22, 1923 in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Joseph G. and Anna C. Schaff Baughman.  Prior to retirement she worked in the payroll department at Hempfield Manor.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy W. Wessel, and a sister, Dolores Caldwell Henry.  Aretha's grandchildren were the light of her life.  She is survived by three children, Carol Ann Schmidt of Jeannette, Linda Jo Binda and her husband Terry of Jeannette and James Wessel and his wife Christa of Pittsburgh, three grandchildren, Jessica Binda-Rischow and her husband Joe, Desiree Binda-Marshall and her husband Aaron and Ashlyn Wessel, two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Dylan Binda, a sister, Nancy Doran and her husband Raymond of Jeannette, her most loved, constant companion, Rosie and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received 3:00 - 7:00 pm Monday in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Rev.
