Carol S. Fennel, 72, of Jeannette died Saturday August 4, 2018 in Forbes Regional Hospital. She was born September 1,1945 in Claridge, a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Tomajko) Poznick. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Rosemarie Mattucci and half brother Dave Tomajko. Carol worked in the deli at Delallos and was affectionately known as "The Cheese Lady" and was a very active member of St. Barbara Church. She is survived by her husband John Fennel Sr. of Claridge, sons: John Fennel Jr. of Jeannette, Jim Fennel and wife Angela of MD and Jason Fennel and wife Sarah of Greensburg; grandchildren Miranda and Anthony Fennel; brother John Poznick and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 7th from 2-4 & 6-8PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Harrison City with Fr. Michael P. Sikon on Wednesday at 11am. Interment will follow in St. Barbara Cemetery.
