John Myers Obituary

John A. Myers, 82, of Jeannette died Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe.  He was born July 17, 1935 in Latrobe, a son of the late Arthur B. and Dorothy Hemminger Myers.  Prior to retirement he worked as a glass cutter at ASG.  He was a veteran of the Marine Corp.  He was a member of American Legion Post #344 of Jeannette and Loyal Order of Moose, Greensburg.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Donald Myers.  He is survived by two sisters, Mildred "Jane" Czerpak and her husband Edward, and Marian Elias and her husband Rev. William , both of Jeannette, a sister-in-law, Hazel Myers of Jeannette and nieces and nephews; Suzanne Kepple and her husband David, Darlene Speer and her husband Richard, Mark Elias, Donald Myers, Richard Beaver and his niece and care giver, Michele Lisk.  Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette.  A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with  Pastor Curt Detar officiating.  Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.  To send on-line condolences, visit www.mason-gelder.com.
