Katherine P. Kimmel, 93 of Jeannette died Tuesday January 16, 2018 in Forbes Regional Hospital.  She was born January 15, 1925 in Slickville a daughter of the late Steve and Mary (Verostko) Kapusta.  Prior to retirement she was employed by Nancy's Hallmark Store and she was a member of Sacred Heart Church and its Rosary Altar Society.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William L. Kimmel Sr., two daughters Paula Jo Smitely and Marianne Koschura, a granddaughter Gabrielle Kimmel, two sisters Sr. Evangelist and Liz Kochera and five brothers Steve, John, Joseph, Andrew and Martin Kapusta.  She is survived by a son William L. Kimmel Jr. and his wife Cynthia, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandson, a sister Martha Pininsky of Slickville, a brother George Kapusta of Greensburg and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette.  A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church with Fr.
