Lorin S. Stewart

Lorin S. Stewart, 73, of Jeannette died Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at home.  He was born March 10, 1945, a son of the late Margaret Stewart.  Lorin was previously a member of First Presbyterian Church, Murrysville and joined the First Presbyterian Church, Jeannette in 2016.  Lorin was a long time Deacon at First Presbyterian in Murrysville.  He was a willing helper and attempted to do whatever he could to further the ministry and mission of that congregation.  He was faithful in keeping in touch with members of the church family and a key part of the correspondence ministry.  Lorin was also enthusiastic about being the lay reader in worship, making sure to come prepared with his well used personal Bible.  Lorin was also one of the pioneering adults attending and supporting the "Remix".   He was a primary member of F&AM Corinthian Lodge #573 and secondary lodge member of F&AM Lodge #750 in Jeannette since 2016.  He became an apprentice mason in June of 1966 and a master mason in October of 1966.  He had a fondness for the rituals that are part of Freemasonry and at times held a number of offices in his home lodge.  Friends will be received Friday from 6:00pm until time of service at 7:00 pm in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 N.
