Thelma A. Heide, 92, of Jeannette died Monday January 8,2018 at home. She was born August 28, 1925 in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Edwin E. and Alva (Burns) Ankney. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward E. Heide, brother Edwin G. Ankney and sisters Ruth Nicely and Betty Ambrose.Thelma was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, North Versailles and enjoyed crochet, knitting and embroidery. She is survived by her daughters Joann Broome-Mertz and her husband Rick of Jeannette and Karla Nigliazzo and husband Vincent of Apollo; a sister Lois Kinsey of Ligonier; grandson Nathaniel Zack, great granddaughter Racheal Zack and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held  on Thursday from 11am until the time of service at Noon with  Rev. Richard W. Krug in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. John's Lutheran Church 715 Lincoln Hwy, North Versailles PA 15137.
