Thomas C. Silvis

Thomas C. Silvis, 85 of Greensburg, formerly of Jeannette, passed away Sunday January 20, 2019 in Greensburg Care Center. He was born September 17,1933in Greensburg, a son of the late Curtis C. and Antoinette (Whatule) Silvis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean (Holderbaum) Silvis in 2009, a grandson Matthew McGinnis; sons in law James McGinnis and Alan Yorio. Tom attended Jeannette high school and was an avid Jayhawk fan and die hard Steeler enthusiast. He was employed by ASG Industries and was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching western movies and television shows. Tom is survived by his children Linda McGinnis (Luis Olave), Gordon Silvis (Andrea), Timothy Silvis (Robin), Kathy Yorio and Sherri Danny (Larry). Nine grandchildren Aaron Yorio (Mandi), Jason Silvis (Lizabeth), Jennifer Fernell (Joseph) Ryan Yorio, Joshua Silvis (Jessica), Melody Yorio, Stephaine Ives (James), Dena Silvis and Michael Danny. Great grandchildren Matthew, Mason, Madelyn Fernell, Hannah, Parker Silvis, Brooks, Chase Silvis, Azzurra, Gemma, Natalia Yorio, Kamryn Crosby and Natalie Ives. Sister, Emma Jean Winfield and her husband Howard, sister in law Janice Guzik and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extended a special heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff of Greensburg Care Center and Grane Hospice for their tireless love, kindness and care.
