Thomas J. Werner 70, a bricklayer and lifelong resident of the Grapeville/Jeannette area died after a lengthy illness at Forbes Regional Hospital on Thursday, March 22, 2018. He was born May 7, 1947, in Grapeville, a son of the late Thomas L. and Estelle Kelly Werner. Tom was a union bricklayer for Local 26 for most of his working years. He was a devoted father, and an avid collector of model railroads. For many years he had a display at his church, Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jeannette where he also enjoyed playing Santa Claus. He belonged to Forbes Trail Masonic Lodge #783 of Export where he was past worshipful master and instructor. He was also a member of Pittsburgh Commandery No. 1 Knights Templar. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He was an avid Steelers fan and loved listening to Pink Floyd. Tom is survived by his wife of 47 years, the love of his life, Theresa "Terri" Wolford Werner, whom he married on July 18, 1970, children; Jason (Jessie) Werner of Latrobe, Beverly (Mark) Doetlinger of Springdale, Amy (Sean) Snoznik of New Kensington, two grandsons, Anthony Yannuzzo of Penn and Aidan Snoznik of New Kensington, a sister, Beverly (Gary) Baldwin of NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
