William “Red” Broker, 64, of Penn passed away Friday January 18, 2019, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, with his family by his side. He was the loving father of William A. and Crystal Broker; and adored grandfather of Emma Krautz. He was a graduate of Median School where he developed his passion for helping others by creating prosthetics. He went on to be a Master Craftsman and ran the Orthotic Technical Department at the Professional Orthotic and Prosthetic Inc of Raleigh, NC. Prior to that Red was a crane operator for many years at Hockensmith Foundry. In his younger years Red enjoyed spending time with his friends working on muscle cars. He is preceded in death by his parents William J. and Shirley Broker. He is survived by his siblings Diana (Rich) Yurt, Becky (Jim) Dreistadt, and Nancy (Dan) Lewis, numerous nieces and nephews, and dear friend Angie Maggio. Red was a retired member of the Penn Boro VFD. Friends will be received from 2-4 pm and 6 until time of service at 8 pm. Monday January 21 at the MASON GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N.
