Alfred G. Boettner

Alfred G. Boettner 64 of Jeannette died Friday May 2, 2025 in Independence Health Westmoreland Hospital.  He was born October 24, 1960 in Jeannette a son of the late George and Catherine (Kochis) Boettner.  He was currently a bus driver with the Westmoreland County Transit Authority serving for 43 years.  He was a member of Suburban Community Church, Greater Irwin Dart Ball League, Norwin High School class of 1979 and enjoyed gardening and car trips.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Nicodemus.  He is survived by his wife Denise (Boyd) Boettner, his children Julia Boettner and George Boettner (Sarah), two brothers Mark Boettner, David Boettner (Lynn), a sister Rita Boettner and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Skip Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in Jeannette Memorial Park.  To send online condolences visit www.mason-gelder.com.
