Anita Diane (Lester) Anderson

Anita Diane Anderson, 69, of Jeannette passed away Tuesday July 30th 2024 at UPMC Shadyside surrounded by her loving family after a year long battle with lung cancer. She was born March 14 1955 in Pulaski, VA, a daughter of the late Herman D. and Margaret E. Lester. She was retired from Verizon and was the long time owner of Thunder Rolls Bar and recently Thunder Rolls Tobacco. After her retirement she enjoyed going to the casino and vacations with family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James E. Anderson Sr., brother Mike Lester, sister Cristy Lester and two sons James E. Anderson Jr and Roy Paul Anderson. Anita is survived by a daughter Angie (Mike) Smail of Jeannette, sister Linda Sue Mock of Arlington, VA and grandchildren David Anderson, Devon Anderson, RJ Graham, Mikayla and Marlee Smail and Dawn (Jason) Hritz. Four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Per Anitas wishes there will be no service. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday September 22nd from Noon until 5pm at the Jeannette American Legion Post 344 109 S 5th St Jeannette.
