Ann C. Lukasik

Ann C. Lukasik, 90, a lifelong resident of Penn Township and beloved heart of her family died December 12,2021 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born May 28,1931 a daughter of John and Catherine Lukasik. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Andrew, Josephine and Mary. She is survived by her niece and nephew Myra and George Soukup and numerous grandnieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her irreverent sense of humor and fierce independence. Before her retirement, Ann was employed by the PA Dept of Labor and Industry for over 41 years, working her way from entry level to Union Leader to Manager through hard work and continuous education. She had a lifelong love of travel, beginning with early trips to the south west United States, Mexico and Hawaii, and continuing as she got older through a vast collection of maps and travel literature. Ann's heart was big enough to include not just her family, but also a large variety of pets and strays over the years, including her current companions, Rocco and Rosie. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Newhaven Court Assisted Living and Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital for the kind and compassionate care they provided. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 19th from Noon until the time of service at 2PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette PA 15644.
