Antionette Markland Obituary

Antionette Markland of Greensburg, known to all as Toni or Mom, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025 surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy battle against kidney disease. Born on March 6, 1944, Toni was a lifetime bartender with her roots originating at the original Bobby Dales in the Gee Bee plaza in Greensburg. Through the years she bartended at numerous establishments in Greensburg and ran the CC Club until it closed. Royal Pizza was her “last call” and she retired four months after her 80th birthday.  She had a love of polkas, people, tending her flowers, collecting frogs, and QVC shopping. She had a zest for life and a magnetic personality. She knew everyone and everyone knew her. She always had a story and was in her element when surrounded by her cherished friends and family. She knew no strangers and will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor.  Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Clara (Golofsky) Dominiczak, her sister Eileen Golofsky, her husband Buddy Markland, her sister-in-law Darlene Dominiczak, and great grandson Damarie Marnell-Lyons.  She is survived by three sons, Johnny (Sharon) Marnell, Joseph Marnell, Bobby (Sue) Marnell, sister Carole (Tom) Burbo, brother John Dominiczak, brother Robert (Debbie) Dominiczak, eight grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff on the third floor of Westmoreland Hospital for their care and compassion during her last days especially Devon and Randy.  Friends and family will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette.  Funeral services and interment are private.  To send online condolences visit www.mason-gelder.com.
