Betty Louise (Smith) Dopkowski

Betty Louise Smith Dopkowski, 95, formerly of Jeannette died Friday May 8, 2026. She was born March 18,1931 in Irwin, a daughter of the late Samuel and Violet (Hayes) Smith.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Chester Dopkowski, son Frank Dopkowski and her siblings Thomas A. Smith, Samuel Smith, Jr., LeRoy Smith and Mary Thomas. Betty was a member of Sacred Heart Church Jeannette where she belonged to the Rosary Altar Society and sang in the choir. She also volunteered at Jeannette Library. Surviving are her children James Dopkowski (Mary) of Jeannette, Chester Dopkowski (Judith) of Arona and Suzan Frye (Robert) of Jeannette; daughter in law Jonna of Ohio; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Betty had a strong faith in God and love for her family and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday May 11th from 2-4PM and 6-8PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc 201 N. First St. Jeannette. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 10am in Sacred Heart Church Jeanette with Fr. Job Foote as celebrant. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
