Betty Elaine Jones

Betty Elaine (Keffer) Jones, 76, formerly of Adamsburg died Tuesday August 16,2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 17,1945 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Ralph S. and Florence V. (Miller) Keffer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John E. Jones, Sr., a son John E. Jones, Jr., and sister Virginia Keffer. Betty was an Executive Secretary at the Department of Veterans Affairs until her retirement in 2008. She was a member of the Brush Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church, Irwin where she was previously a member of the church council and a choir member.  She also previously served on the Adamsburg Boro Council. She is survived by her daughter Cara L. Frick (William) of Edinboro; brother Ralph E. Keffer (Patti J.) of Limestone TN; six grandchildren John Jones III (Kait) of Port Allegany, Jordan Jones of Marienville, Hunter Jones of Ligonier, Talon, Morgan, and Peyton Frick all of Edinboro and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday August 22,2022 from 4-8PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc 201 N. First St. Jeannette. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Tuesday August 23 in the Brush Creek Evangelical Church, Irwin. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery.
