Charleen L. Hockensmith, 79, of Jeannette died Tuesday January 12,2021 in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born March 9,1941 in Salem Twp., a daughter of the late William Levi and Mary (Popovich) Shuster, Sr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clinton D. Hockensmith and two brothers William L. Jr. and Ronald Shuster. Charleen worked as a nurses aid at the Sisters of Charity and was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Greensburg and the Alwine Civic Center. She enjoyed playing the lottery, crossword puzzles and reading the newspaper. Surviving are her daughter Kris Ann Hockensmith of Greensburg, brothers Cullen Shuster and Michael B.Shuster and his wife Debbie all of Jeannette and a sister Donna Shuster of Greensburg and her son Duane. Visitation will be held on Sunday January 17th from Noon until the time of service at 2PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. Due to current CDC guidelines masks must be worn while in the building and social distancing should be practiced. A limited number of people will be allowed in the building at a time.
