Charles R. "Buzz" Holland

Charles R. "Buzz" Holland, 81, passed away December 8,2023 at home after a 20 month battle with cancer. He was born December 14,1941 to Charles H. and Florence (O'Rouke) Holland. Buzz graduated from Jeannette High School in 1960. He retired in 2004 after 44 years of employment from General Glass International as a quality control manager. He then enjoyed delivering flowers for Zanarini's Posey Shoppe. He enjoyed golfing and belonged to the Jeannette Golf League. Buzz is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna (Semenko) Holland; two sons Eric (Nancy) and Marc (Sherri). His pride were his 5 grandchildren Alec, Parker, and Abigail Holland, Brandon Goldsmith and Jenna Holland. Special niece Debbie (Curt) Nichols, Goddaughter Diane Powell and several nieces and nephews survive. He was predeceased by sisters Elizabeth Burns and Marcie Sanderbeck. Family and friends will be received at Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette on Sunday December 10 from 1-5PM A funeral mass will be at St. Barbara Catholic Church Monday December 11 at 11am with Fr. Michael Sikon as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Barbara Food Bank or the Kentucky Project.
