Dale V. Herman, Sr.

Dale V. Herman of Latrobe, PA passed away Thursday August 10, 2023 at the age of 90.  He is survived by his wife of 70 years Velma M. (Purse) Herman, one son Brian S. Herman of West Blocton, AL,: two granddaughters Christian and Alia Herman; three great-grandchildren; Charlie, Elizabeth and Runa of Alabama.  Dale had two sons that have gone off with the Lord Dale V. Herman Jr. and Roger A. Herman.  He was the son of the late Tilford and Sarah (May) Rebecca Herman.  Dale graduated from Jeannette High School Class of 1950 and started a career in the glass industry starting with Thatcher Glass, Anchor Glass and Anchor Glass Container for a combined total of 45 years.  He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army as a corporal.  Friends will be received on what would have been Dales 91st birthday, Tuesday August 15th in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette from 2-4PM&6-8PM.  Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10am in the funeral home with Pastor Steve Meyers officiating.  Interment with military rites will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  To send online condolences visit www.mason-gelder.com.
