David D. Bernie

David D. Bernie, 62, of Jeannette, went into the loving arms of his Savior Sunday, August 29, 2021, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born May 4, 1959, in Greensburg, a son of the late Dominic and Cora (Birdsell) Bernello (Bernie). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Donald Bernie. David worked as a transporter for Nutrition Inc. and was a member of Grace Baptist Church Greensburg. He enjoyed golf, cars, motorcycles and was strong physically, in character, and in his faith. David is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diann (Gressley) Bernie, sons Dominic Eugene and his wife Rebecca of Phenix City, AL and Destin Troy of Jeannette; Granddaughter Mackenzie Renee; siblings Barry Bernie and wife Carol of Indiana, PA, Donna DeSalvo & husband Joseph of Greensburg, Sharon Deluzio and husband Charles of North Huntingdon and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service for all will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 6:30 PM in Grace Baptist Church, 4463 State Route 136, Greensburg. Friends and family are welcome an hour early at 5:30 PM to a reception prior to the memorial service. A private inurnment will take place on a later date at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont.
