Dennis L. Anthony

Dennis L. Anthony 80 of Jeannette died Tuesday December 16, 2025 in Independence Health Westmoreland.  He was born February 6, 1945 in Mt. Pleasant a son of Ida Catherine Anthony Shields.  Prior to retirement he was a glass worker at Jeannette Glass and then St. George Crystal.  He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, watching Pittsburgh sports and Iowa Women's Basketball and loved Greengate Chick Fil A.  In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Swink) Anthony and his dog Cooper.  He is survived by his children Dennis Anthony of Iowa, Kevin Anthony (Karin) of Jeannette and Melissa Layden (Dave) of Jeannette, four grandchildren Brett Elliott (Kait), Garett Elliott (Kristen), Emily Anthony and McKenna Anthony, five great grandchildren Mason, Ava, Reese, Bennett and Rowan, his siblings Fred Shields, Cynthia DeFlavio (Frank), Patricia Shields, Leslie Click (Joe) and Jeffrey Shields and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received at Moreland's at Waterworks in Greensburg Friday from 1PM-4PM.  Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. entrusted with arrangements.  To send online condolences visit www.mason-gelder.com.
