Donald A. Freeman, 100, of Greensburg died Friday June 5th, 2026 in Hempfield Manor. He was born March 5,1926 in Jeannette a son of the late Charles and Selena (Engle) Freeman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor M. (Bigi) Freeman, brother Richard Freeman and sister Norma Jean Wall. Prior to retirement he worked as an assistant manager for PNC. Donald was a proud WWII Veteran serving in the US Navy aboard the USS Hale DD642 in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, VFW Post #33, American Legion Post #344 and the Chestnut Ridge Historical Society. His family was very important to him. Surviving are his son Donald J. Freeman (Kim) of Greensburg, daughter Susan Loughner (Gary) of Greensburg; grandchildren Jessica Walton (Nick) and Joshua Loughner (Jamie); two great grandchildren Madalynn Loughner and Sage Walton and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 10th from 10am until the time of service at Noon in the Harrold Zion Lutheran Church 671 Baltzer Meyer Pike Greensburg, Pa 15601. Interment with Military Rites will follow in Harrold Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Jeannette Historical Society.
