Douglas A. Wilson

Douglas A. Wilson, 74, of Greensburg died Tuesday August 16th 2022 in Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe. He was born July 14,1948 in Jeannette, a son of the late Paul A. and E. Jane (Shearer) Wilson. Doug graduated from Jeannette High School in 1966 and from Westminster College, New Wilmington, PA as a member of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity in 1970. Doug succeeded his father as the owner/ operator of Wilson Candy Co. in Jeannette and was also a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Greensburg. He enjoyed golfing at Hannastown golf course, reading, music, and the Pittsburgh and Jeannette sports teams. Doug is survived by his wife Carolyn "Kay" (Elder) Wilson of Greensburg; his daughter Dr. Megan Wilson and son in law Matthew Bennett of Greensburg, sisters Deborah Wilson Walsh of Springfield, VA, Denise Wilson Sharon of Lakewood, CO and Donna Nolan of Exeter, NH and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday August 19th from 4-8PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 10am with Rev. William Youmans. Interment will follow at St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
