Elinore L. Baker, 96, of Jeannette, died Sunday, June 13, 2021 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born March 13, 1925, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Nelson and Maud Taylor Phillips. Elinore was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Jeannette where she was a member of the Philea Logue Bible Class and the Chancel Choir. She was employed as a salesperson at the Gillespie Department Store in Jeannette and later worked in the admissions department at Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. After retirement she volunteered at Redstone Presbyterian SeniorCare in Greensburg for 20 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Baker in 1976 and the following brothers and sisters; Elwood and Robert Phillips, Peggy Jean Poole, Betty Saxton and Dorothy Neff. She is survived by two sons, Thomas Baker (Vickie) of Hempfield and James Baker (Binka) of Ephrata, four grandchildren, Alison Rizk (George), Alex Baker (Erin), Melanie Baker, and Patrick Baker, a great-granddaughter, Helena Noelle Rizk and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. A funeral service will be held 11;00 am Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Dawn Sherwood officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
