Gregory Marc Hainesworth

Gregory Marc Hainesworth, 65, of Grapeville died Tuesday September 12,2023 at home. He was born February 2,1958 in Jeannette, a son of the late Samuel Collins Hainesworth, Sr. and Araceli Cruz. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Samuel Collins Hainesworth, Jr. and Stephen S. Hainesworth and a brother in law Jake Hempfield. Greg graduated from Hempfield High School in 1977 where he was MVP and in the hall of fame for baseball and was currently employed at Seton Hill University. He is survived by his daughter Laneka Hainesworth of Greensburg and her mother Roberta;  siblings Sandra Hempfield of Greensburg, Veronica Woody & Andre of Las Vegas, Barbara Sanders and Gerry of N. Huntingdon, Debbie Hainesworth of Grapeville and Danny Hainesworth and Janice of Jeannette and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on  Monday from  2-4PM and 6-8 PM  in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with the Rev. Roy Aiken Jr. officiating.  Interment will follow in Union Cemetery of New Alexandria.
