Harry P. Hilty, Sr., 87, of Jeannette died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. He was born September 1, 1933, in Hempfield Township, the son of the late John H.B. and Minnie Kemerer Hilty. Harry was a member of the First Reformed Protestant Church of Greensburg and was a veteran of the Korean War. Harry had been a truck driver for various companies before retirement. Besides his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Carol L. Hilty, a son, Harry P. Hilty, Jr., and four brothers; James, Elmer, Charles and Frank Hilty and sisters, Sarah Kaszycki, Ann Long, and Myrtle Schall. He is survived by a son, Harry J. Hilty (Dave Danis), Vicki L. Brinkley (Robert Hegland) of Jeannette and Tina M. of Export, a brother, John Hilty, Jr., two sisters, Nancy Jobe and Gertrude Kemerer, three grandchildren; Jennifer (Kevin Foote) Dawson, and Brandon, great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Leland, a good friend, Sue Kline and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 10:00 am until time of service at noon Monday in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. Following the pandemic guidelines, face masks must be worn and a limited number of people will be allowed in the building at one time.
