Harry A. Ruckel

Harry A. Ruckel 84 of Jeannette died Tuesday September 24, 2024 at home.  He was born June 25, 1940 in Pittsburgh a son of the late Harry C. and Gladys (Harris) Ruckel.  Prior to retirement he was employed by Comtrol and he retired from the US Navy after serving for 22 years with part of that time during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of American Legion Post 344 and VFW post 8240 both of Jeannette.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Rita (Bender) Ruckel, a daughter Rita "Dimples" Caldwell, a granddaughter Holly Grunden and a brother Timothy Ruckel.  He is survived by his children Jean Elizabeth Bortz (Everett), Harry Von Ruckel (Xiomara), Eric Vincent Ruckel (Unhwa), Troy Augustus Ruckel, and Angela Lynne Kegler (Joseph Crosby), 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, a brother Kenneth Ruckel (Margaret), a sister Debby Casto and numerous nieces and nephews.  There will be no services.  Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. Jeannette, PA entrusted with arrangements.
