Henry E. Yost, Jr., 79, of Irwin died October 15,2024 in Hempfield Manor, Greensburg. He was born September 3,1945 in Greensburg, a son of the late Henry Yost, Sr. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife Sally (Hobaugh) Yost. Henry worked as a kettleman at Westinghouse, served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, was a member, past Chief and current Captain of the Manor Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Westmoreland Co. Fire Chiefs association and a member of St. Barbara Church, Harrison City. Surviving are his son Tim Yost of Irwin, brother in law and sister in law Bill and Kathy Hobaugh of Penn Twp; brother in law and sister in law Tim and Carol Hobaugh of Fl; sister in law Joan Zorzi of Madison; nephew David Hobaugh and his wife Dana of Penn Twp, niece Heather McKeever and husband Sean of Murrysville and nephew Christopher Hobaugh of Fl and numerous great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank AHN Forbes Hospital, Hempfield Manor and AHN Hospice for the excellent care given to Henry during his illness. Visitation will be held on Monday October 21, 2024 from 4-8PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. Fireman's service will be held at 7PM. A funeral blessing service will be held at 11am on Tuesday at the funeral home with Fr. Michael Sikon. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery, Irwin.
