Howard R. Winfield, 86, of Jeannette passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 22, 2024. He was born March 21,1938 in Grapeville, a son of the late Thomas J. and Carrie (Tickle) Winfield, Sr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Debra; brothers infant Kenneth, Wilbur and Thomas Jr. and sisters Edith Detar, Olive Lutz, Vera Brown, Mildred Brown, Carol Kasparek and Gwendolyn Kasparek. Howard worked at Wilson Trucking in Virginia and previously as a welder at Westinghouse in Trafford. He was a member of Living Word Congregational Church, Jeannette. Howard was musically talented and loved playing the trumpet when he was younger. He also had a passion for cars. Surviving are his beloved wife Emma Jean (Silvis) Winfield of Jeannette; loving daughters Carol Kornides (Jeffrey) of Latrobe and Brenda Guzik (John) of Jeannette; grandchildren Adam (Sarah), Amy, John (Sarah) and Greg; great grandchildren Gabe, Isaac, Isabelle, Eleanor, and Emma along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc., 201 N. First St., Jeannette on Tuesday, August 27th from 10am until the time of service at Noon with Senior Pastor Roy Aiken, Jr. Interment will be held in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
