Jane C. (Clair) Kuhn

Jane Clair Kuhn, age 91, passed away peacefully with family on Tuesday February 15, 2022.  She was born July 15, 1930, in Jeannette, Pennsylvania to the late William "Dick" Clair and Dortha (Guy) Clair.  She married Raymond Kuhn on November 10, 1956 who preceded her in death in 1966.  With great love, Jane and Raymond were blessed with one son Gerald (Jerry).  Years later, God blessed Jane with another man to share her life with Jack Roache who also preceded her in death in 1986. 

Jane filled her life with faith and family.  Jane was born, raised and worshipped her entire life at her beloved Holy Trinity in Jeannette, PA.  She deeply appreciated her pastors over the years for their spiritual guidance and treasured friendships.  “Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come” (Proverbs 31: 25).  Jane fully trusted in the Lord to guide and care for her throughout her life.  Jane’s most cherished gift from God were her two grandsons whom she loved and held dearly to her heart.

Jane was never idle and constantly on the go.  She loved visiting and sharing time with her extended family, card club, church friends, her Glenview Ave friends, and her lifelong friendships.  She loved the beach, shopping (and returning), meals out, Sunday dinners, attending shows, and walking.  Jane will be remembered as a kind and compassionate lady ready to have a conversation with anyone that came her way.

Jane is survived by her son Jerry and his wife Julie, grandsons Spencer (Maiti) and Davis (Josie), and grand-dog Bailey.  She was preceded in death by her brothers Donald and Kenneth Clair and sister Eleanor Ernette.  Jane is also survived by her sister-in-law Delores (Donald) Clair, a number of nieces and nephews, as well as dear friends she considered family.

Jane’s family would like to extend their deepest appreciation and gratitude to Golden Heights and ProMedica for their kindness, compassion and love they showed Jane throughout her care.  We knew Jane was in good hands with such caring hearts.

Friends will be received from 4-7PM Thursday February 17th in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. Jeannette. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11am in the Holy Trinty Lutheran Church, 211 Gaskill Ave, Jeannette with her dear friend Pastor Susan Luttner. Everyone please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jane’s memory to Holy Trinity.
