Joan E. (Weightman) Van Dyke

Joan E. Van Dyke 90 of Jeannette died Saturday March 18, 2023 in Walden's View Senior Living.  She was born May 5, 1932 in Washington Twp. a daughter of the late George and Irene (Palm) Weightman.  Prior to retirement she was a Supervisor for Old Republic Insurance Company and she was member of Sacred Heart Church, Jeannette and TOPS.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William E. Van Dyke, a daughter Patty Jackson and her husband Don and a sister Darla Butler.  She is survived by a daughter Susan DeMatteo and her husband Dave, a son Edward Van Dyke, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, her siblings Kathleen Altemus, Vivian Kowal and her husband Jim, Karen Bell and Tom Fruechtel and his wife Dana and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette.  A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Jeannette with Fr.
