John R. Fennel, Sr., 82, of Jeannette passed away peacefully on Friday February 4,2022 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born February 15,1939 in Penn, a son of the late Margaret Smith and step father George Logan. He was preceded in death by his late wife and soul mate Carol S. (Poznick) Fennel. John was a master of many trades including his experience working as a maintenance tech for the Penn Twp. School District, truck driver, beekeeper and rodeo. He served in the U.S Air force where he spent a lot of time in Guam. His home was home to all, if you knew John you probably spent time on the front porch with him listening to his stories, providing invaluable tips on simple living, offering help , all while enjoying the best porch view. He also loved the mountains only second to his wife Carol and family. Surviving are his sons John Fennel, Jr. of Jeannette, Jim Fennel and wife Angela of MD, and Jason Fennel and wife Sarah of Murrysville; grandchildren Miranda Bradshaw and husband Zach, Anthony Fennel and
Scarlett Fennel. He is survived by his sisters Marietta, Georgetta and Priscilla. He was preceeded in death by siblings Margaret, Raymond, Jim and Eugene. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
