Joseph G. Butler

Joseph G. Butler 94 of Jeannette died Monday December 2, 2024 at home.  He was born June 23, 1930 in Jeannette a son of the late Thomas and Veronica (Wolfe) Butler.  Prior to retirement he was employed by the Elliott Co. and was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, VFW Post 8240 and American Legion Post 344 all of Jeannette.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Darla (Weightman) Butler, three brothers Edward, Thomas and Charles Butler, five sisters Mildred Wilson, Joan Gibson, Agnes Butler, Marie Richardson and Margaret Butler.  He is survived by his son Joseph Butler and his wife Laura, his daughter Jane Elliott and her husband Tom, 5 grandchildren Jill Bunell (Patrick), Justin Elliott (Katy), Kaitlin Galleher (Mike), Andrew Butler (Vicki) and Eric Butler (Rachel), 7 great grandchildren, Bella, Nolan, Eliana, Brooks, Lily, Kole and Joey and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received Wednesday from 1-6 PM in Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette.  A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church with Fr.
