Joseph A. Folino

Joseph A. Folino 103 of Jeannette died Wednesday January 14, 2026 in Mt. View Senior Living.  He was born April 1, 1922 in Wall, PA a son of the late Antonio and Elizabeth (Nanci) Folino.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved and devoted wife of 75 years Maryland (DiLorenzo) Folino, three sisters and two brothers.  Prior to retirement he was employed by Conrail and he was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was inducted in the prestigious French Legion of Honor.  Joe was also a member Ascension Church, Jeannette, Knights of Columbus #1480, VFW Post 33 and Western PA Chapter 14 Fellow of Center of Applician Studies St. Vincent College.  He is survived by his children Rita Gochenaur (Dwight) of York Springs and John Folino (Karin) of Gibsonia; grandchildren Lauren, Kyle, Meghan (Cory Hylton), Amanda and Blair (Alex); great grandchildren Maryn, John and Ellis and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette.  A funeral mass will be Thursday at 10:30 AM in Ascension Church 615 Division St. Jeannette.  Interment with military rites will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.  To send online condolences visit www.mason-gelder.com.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the VFW Post 33 516 E.
