Marlene Marie (Burdick) Perry

Marlene Marie (Burdick) Perry (85) of Shenandoah, IA died Saturday August 26, 2023 at Twin Lakes Rehabilitation in Pennsylvania. She was born May 7, 1938 in Cedar Rapids, IA, the daughter of the late Charles and Nettia May Burdick of Cedar Rapids, IA sister to the late Donald Burdick and late Bernice Dvorsky. Before moving to PA, she worked for many years at the Walmart in Shenandoah, IA where she had many friends. She was a veteran serving with the US Air Force. There she met and married Donald Bair and together they had 4 children. In 1982 she married Garlen Perry and together they sold used furniture for several years and were also U-Haul dealers. She enjoyed scratch offs, going to casinos, eating cake, and drinking chocolate milk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Garlen Perry, a son Gary Bair, a daughter Teresa Bair, an infant son, and a grandson Zak Porter. Marlene is survived by a son Charlie Bair, a step-daughter Angie Perry, seven grandchildren T.J. (Janelle) Ranous, Tiffany (Zack) Hornak, Karly Archer, Cassie Johnson, Brittany Bair, Carissa Gunderson, and Jacob Bair, six great-grandchildren Brenden, Samantha, Brantley, Levi, Ethan, and Asher, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her services and interment were private. Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. Jeannette, PA were entrusted with the arrangements.
