Mary Ann (Halucka) Goodman

Mary Ann (Halucka) Goodman, 89, of Jeannette, died peacefully at her home on Dec. 25, 2023.  She was born Dec. 8, 1934, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Alexander and Elsie (Shrum) Halucka of Penn.  She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church of Greensburg and a member of the former St. Boniface Christian Mothers of Penn. Her greatest love was her family!  She was an avid reader and a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penn State football. Mary also had a special fondness to her canine companion Charlie. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Karl Goodman; daughter Donna (Joseph) Hill; and brother Paul Halucka.  She is survived by 2 daughters, Nancy (Stephen) Rute of Columbus, OH, Debra (Joseph) Hotovchin of Elizabeth; 3 sons, David (Lori) Goodman of Fayetteville, NC, Mark Goodman of Jeannette, Barry (Wendy) Goodman of Penn Township; brother George Halucka of Los Angeles, CA; 7 grandchildren; a step-grandson; and 4 great grandchildren.

To honor Mary’s wishes, services will be private.  MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., Jeannette, is entrusted with arrangements.  Interment at the Twin Valley Memorial Park

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of her daughter, Donna Hill.
