Michael J. Wilson

Michael J. Wilson 79 of Delmont died Monday June 10, 2024 in UPMC East.  He was born March 20, 1945 in Pittsburgh a son of the late Thomas and June (Sittman) Wilson.  Prior to retirement he owned and operated Salem Self Storage with his daughter and he formerly owned and operated the Sunoco Gas Station of Rt 130 in Jeannette.  He was also a veteran of the US Army serving during Vietnam.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas Wilson Jr., David Wilson and Peter Wilson.  He is survived by his children Michael A. Wilson, Melissa Schnake (Kevin) and Beth Ann Hyde (James), two granddaughters Katie Lynn Dissanayake (Sahan) and Cassidy Evans (Tyrone), his long time girlfriend Mary Jane Deibler and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received Thursday from 4-8 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Entombment with military rites will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.  To send online condolences visit www.mason-gelder.com.
