Norma R. (Earhart) Bennett, 81,of Penn Twp went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 31,2026 at Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. She was born November 1944 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late G. Albert and Blanche Buttler (Mull) Earhart. Wife of the late Edward Earl Bennett. She was a graduate of Penn Joint High School Class of 1963. She was a retired Nurse employed by the former Jeannette District Memorial Hospital for 22 years. Norma was the owner of the Earhart Family Farm in Penn Twp where she lived all her life. She was an active member of St. Matthias Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greensburg and a former member of St. Marks Lutheran Church, Jeannette where she served many years on council, the Alter Guild, Chairperson of Worship and Music and as a lector. She was also a member and past vice president and treasure of Women of the ELCA at the church. Norma was a member of the JDMH Hospital Retirees Association and the Tri County Horse and Mule association. She enjoyed her many Wagon Train Treks throughout her life. Norma was raised on a rolling farm in Penn Twp to hard working parents. They instilled in her a passion and appreciation for a job well done and the value of hard work and honesty. She loved the beauty of nature and the rebirth of spring. Her favorite was the beautiful fall foliage. Friends say they were drawn to Norma because of her kindness and easy smile. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother in law Walter Bennett, cousins Norman Earhart Jr and Carolyn Petrosky and friends Jackie Brown and Steve Ray. Norma is survived by brother in law Merle Bennett of Pittsburgh, cousins Yvonne Earhart, William and Tracey Earhart and Tom Magill. Numerous nieces and nephews and Karen Matusek and Jacqui Leonard all of whom she considered to be her family. Friends will be received on Monday April 6th from 1PM until the time of service at 4:30PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First Street Jeannette. Interment will be private at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may me made to St. Matthias Evangelical Lutheran Church 100 Chapel View Dr. Greensburg Pa 15601 or to donors favorite animal shelter.
