Norman E. Lander Sr. 78 of Jeannette died Saturday November 20, 2021 at The Hospice of Canterbury Place in Lawrenceville. He was born August 12, 1943 in Greensburg a son of the late George "Tut" and Esther Mae (Kidd) Lander. Prior to retirement he was a truck driver for ANR Freight. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and a volunteer at the St. Vincent DePaul store both of Jeannette. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters Rhonda and Jamie, four brothers Carl, Leonard "Red", Ronald and James Lander and a sister Charlotte Esspey. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Marlene (Putanko) Lander, his children Norman Jr., Scott (Krista) and Tiffany (Tim) Taylor, his two special grandchildren who were the light of his life and meant everything to him Izzy and Ian, a brother George (Mary), a sister Janice (Vern) Auge, three sisters in law Gail, Marilyn and Arlene Lander and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. Jeannette. A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Jeannette with Fr.
